Reproduction:
Ovoviviparous - eggs hatch inside the mother, and live young are born. After a 12 month gestation period. Between 10 and 82 pups are born. The pups are 50-75cm in length.

Tiger sharks can take 4-6 years to mature and only live for around 12 years.
They are able to cut through turtle shells and will also eat sea lions and cetaceans.
They are scavengers with excellent camouflage.
